D.S.A. (Department of Sciences for Architecture) is highly involved in transportation design. D.S.A. is partner of the Dept. of Naval Engineering for the Bachelors degree of Pleasure Crafts engineering; in addition, D.S.A. is the main reference for the Bachelors degree of Yacht design at the Department of Architecture of the University of Genoa. D.S.A. also promotes the Cruise Ships interior design master. D.S.A. innovative passengers transportation design research is split-off in cooperation with Fiat, Pininfarina, lveco, Leitner and others. Through this experience, the Authors group has studied new concepts for airships-design, mainly dedicated to the following activities: Long range exploring and entertaining. Due to the typical Airships topics, these concepts are related to the following characteristics: Good balance between costs and weight, Energy saving, Easy standing afloat for observation, Landing or splash-down on sea or lakes, Innovative life-style and ergonomics onboard.
