Titel:

Altitude Control of Stratospheric Platform Airship

Autor(en):
K. Harada
Zusammenfassung:
The paper explores the technical issues associated with the altitude control of stratospheric airship in ascent and descent phase. Based on the thermodynamic model which has been developed and verified though the Japanese stratospheric platform airship R&D project, fundamental characteristics of static lift variation during ascent and descent flight are investigated analytically. And design and operational considerations for the static lift variations are provided, such as lifting gas charge/discharge for the ascent phase and ballonet air ventilation for the descent phase.
