Titel:

Analysis and Modelling the Airport Airside Delays

Autor(en):
M. Janic
Zusammenfassung:
Flight delays have become an inherent feature of the contemporary air transport system consisting of airports, air traffic control/management, and airlines. These delays usually represent a difference between the actual and the scheduled departure and arrival times of particular affected flights at their origin and destination airports, respectively. This paper analyses flight delays in the airport airside area including the runway and the taxiway system and the apron/gate complex, and discusses principles of their modeling. The objective is to set up a measure of LOS (Level of Service) quality for the airport airside operations.
