This research analyzed potential methods to construct radiation shielding for primary lunar habitats by In-Situ Resource Utilization (ISRU), considering the following key factors: I. Small and light-weight production plant; II. Ability of automatic material processing and construction; III. Large span coverage availability; The target lunar habitat used in this study was Lunar-IHAB designed by Alcatel Alenia Space Italia S.p.A.. Material processing, structure design, segment design, and mass and power budgets for a concrete shielding construction were investigated. After that, mass saving effect by ISRU was examined.
