Zusammenfassung:
Since the 17th century, a large number of Transient Lunar Phenomenon (TLP) has been reported by astronomers. TLPs are temporary lights on the moon, which are not fully understood yet. Some of the popular explanations are reflections of sun light, impact flashes, out gassing or electro static discharge. Many TLPs occur only for a few seconds, which makes a continuous and global observation necessary in order to "catch" such an event. Due to difficult observation conditions from earth, a continuous, systematic and reliable observation over a long time period could not be done yet in order to generate a sufficient amount of comparable data. To overcome this problem, a highly autonomous observation system for TLPs using a constellation of satellites from a low earth orbit is proposed in this paper, which can contribute to better understand the phenomenon and its impacts.
