Zusammenfassung:
At the ministerial conference in Berlin, Germany decided in 2005 its support of the European efforts leading to Space Exploration. The German Space Agency DLR is now preparing its position concerning future exploration activities in a European context, with global partners and on the basis of national preparatory activities. DLR granted national industrial study work and a national exploration conference were related to relevant questions for exploration of our Solar System and how Germany can participate in excellent projects. The results are leading to further investigation of a possible national initiative, a Moon orbiter mission. Within the current definition process of an exploration strategy, this national initiative could demonstrate and foster German capabilities.
