Titel:

Design of Blended-wing-body Configurations using a Constrained Numerical Optimisation Method

Zusammenfassung:
3-D design codes based on constrained numerical optimisation methods are being developed at INTA to deal with design problems. Multipoint design, along with geometrical and physical constraints, permits a realistic design in a multidisciplinary environment. The purpose of this research is to have robust and reliable tools implemented into a design procedure. Many constraints are imposed by non-aerodynamic requirements. It is therefore important to have a good cooperation with the industry in order to properly implement these constraints into the design code. INTA has an agreement of co-operation with AIRBUS-E in order to enhance the design capability of this company. At present, one of the design codes developed at INTA is running in AIRBUS-E computers.
