Zusammenfassung:
An investigation is carried over the weight of the non linear effects on the dynamical behavior of a profile in a transonic flow. The investigation is carried using the approach used in system identification, by means of a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) code, based on the Euler equations, considered as a black-box system. Both frequency and time domain approaches are used to evaluate the non-linear effects on the response of different typical wing-sections. The results show that for weak shocks the aerodynamic operator describing the dynamics of the profile around a steady (transonic) flow condition is linear. For strong shocks results obtained with linear models show conservativism in the results.
