Zusammenfassung:
The unsteady aerodynamics, aeroelastic response to time-dependent external excitations, flutter and LCO behavior of 2-D lifting surfaces in various speed regimes via a generalized linear and nonlinear indicial functions approach is presented. The aerodynamic indicial functions are generated by a combined CFD - analytical procedure. The structural models are 2-D lifting surfaces with a linear and nonlinear restoring moment in pitching. The CFD formulation is based on unsteady Euler codes. Comparisons and validations of the aeroelastic model are presented and pertinent conclusions are outlined.
