Zusammenfassung:
An investigation into thethe impact of using prestressed mode shapes and frequencies on wing flutter response calculation is presented. The normal modes and frequencies are calculated for a given static aeroelastic equilibrium including structural geometric nonlinearities. These mode shapes and frequencies are used to perform flutter calculations in the frequency domain. Results indicate that differences in the dynamic instability of a wing configuration can be seen when using the prestressed modal information. Two wing configurations (high aspect ratio wing box and a beam model) are used to demonstrate the procedure and illustrate the differences that occur when using the prestressed modal data. It is felt that structural prestressing will have an impact on the dynamic aeroelastic response of configurations in which body freedom flutter occurs. High aspect ratio blended wing body (BWB) configurations will exhibit such behavior.
