Zusammenfassung:
Short crack growth tests were conducted under concomitant corrosion fatigue condition for 7075-T6 extruded aluminum to evaluate the effect of microstructure such as grain boundary on short crack growth under the corrosive environment. The fatigue crack growth behavior and the fracture surface were investigated. These results indicated that the crack origin could be the small corrosion pit or corroded periphery of the particles in most cases and the behavior of short crack growth was affected by microstructure in corrosive environment.
