Titel:

Electron Beam Curing Process of Composites for Launcher Structures

Autor(en):
P. Parrot
Zusammenfassung:
During the last two decades, EADS Launch Vehicles has been continuously developing electron beam curing as an alternate method to manufacture advanced composites. This technology makes it possible to cure high performance composites without the use of autoclaves. The emergence of giant composite structures will make this technology an economic alternative to conventional thermal curing technique. The results of various explorations, both technical (materials properties) and economical are discussed to try to envision the future applications of the technology.
