In this paper software measurement in the design phase of the software life-cycle is discussed. Very briefly, the idea of measurement is discussed, the history of software design measure is presented, and important characteristics for design and implementation are demonstrated. Finally, measures for the design phase, including measures for coupling and cohesion, are presented.
