The comprehensive structural fatigue tests of TORNADO revealed some fatigue critical areas which have different fatigue life. To monitor these structure areas the monitoring concept is composed of three sectors: "Temporary-, Selected- and Individual Aircraft Tracking", which are all based on the acquisition of flight parameters. It is shown, how the simultaneous acquisition of strain measurements and flight parameters in in-service A/C (random samples) renders possible the determination of the individual strain development of the structural element concerned by means of regression calculations. Finally an overview is given of the influence of results of fatigue life monitoring on material maintenance and fatigue relevant inspections.
