Engine Condition Monitoring; Engine System and Aircraft Operational Effects

Autor(en):
D. Burnell
Zusammenfassung:
There are considerable benefits to be gained from Engine Condition Monitoring (ECM). There are also many options available in order to obtain benefits. The options that are best suited to an airline depend on the operation of the airline, which will vary over a wide range from business jets to long range 400 passenger aircraft. This paper describes the evolution of ECM, what the tangible benefits are to the airlines and an indication of the direction in which the technology is going.
