One of the characteristic features of automobiles, trucks, farm transport, road making machinery, etc. is relative location of noise sources and people, the presence of complex sound fields, etc. The equations for air-borne noise calculations and sound vibration are proposed. The calculation is based on statistical acoustics theory and the energy principle of summing signals. Using the suggested mathematical models one can calculate noise of vehicle (V) with different noise control constructions. An example of vehicle noise calculation is given, it is shown how suggested equations for calculations of the expected noise and demanded noise reduction could be used. The practical application of these methods allows to calculate noise and to choose the optimal complex of noise protective structures on the design stage.
