Zusammenfassung:
The objective of this paper is to present a new optimized high order finite difference scheme which has its maximum resolution characteristics. Direct numerical simulation(DNS) and many computational aeroacoustic(CAA) problems require efficient schemes that have high order accuracy and high resolution characteristics, and that do not need much computation time. This paper presents a scheme that can achieve high order accuracy in terms of central compact finite differencing and high resolution characteristics with the idea of dispersion-relationpreserving( DRP) scheme. The compact finite difference scheme has a formulation which is easy and fast to compute the derivatives because of its symmetric and banded matrix formulation. High order optimized pentadiagonal compact scheme has very good resolution characteristics and accuracy. It is also found that the 6th order tridiagonal compact scheme can be successfully optimized to have the accuracy and performance comparable to the high order pentadiagonal compact schemes with less computation time.
