Autor(en):
M. Schwwarze
Zusammenfassung:
Is TCAS a suitable system for General Aviation? In order to introduce this question, a shon system description is given and the functional principles as well as the differences between TCAS I, II, and III are described. Based on this information the main question "TCAS For General Aviation Aircraft?" is discussed, including an enumeration of advantages and disadvantages, and the reflection if TCAS I is a less expensive alternative for TCAS II. The essay ends with the presentation of two alternative ideas for a traffic alert and collision avoidance system.
