Airbus Industrie has demonstrated during the past two decades that the European aeronautical industry is still maintaining its long tradition of technical innovation and most importantly the ability to transfer advanced technology into products. This in the end reflects the streng belief that the technologically more advanced aircraft is one of the major keys to success. The relatively short history of Airbus Industrie, the rather extensive list of technology "firsts" and the commercial success has proven it to be the right strategy.
