Zusammenfassung:
An analytical method for predicting the upper bound for an envelope of the structural responses induced by a mechanical shock is discussed. This method is statistical in nature and based on the concept of transient statistical energy analysis, and the theory of analytical functions and signal envelopes. It is applied to predict the dynamic environment of a satellite structure excited by pyrotechnically initiated shocks. A test program was conducted to obtain pertinent data for comparison with analytical results. In general, the agreement between the envelopes of the predicted shock response spectra and measured data was considered good.
