The principal objective of this paper is to depict issues related to the stability margin of an active flutter and gust response control system and to ansv~r to some of the questions. The paper revievs the potential sources of error in designing the control system, and. the uncertainty effects on robustness. LQG regulator coupled vith the LTR and a numerical optimization technique are used to improve robustness vith respect to high frequency uncertainty. Attempts are made to take account of high and low frequency uncertainties simultaneously.
