Titel:

A Modification for the Multivariate Mode Indicator Function Employing Principal Force Vectors

Autor(en):
M. Nash
Zusammenfassung:
The multivariate mode indicator function (MMIF) is a method to determine appropriated force vectors for isolating pure (undamped) normal modes of a structure. The approach is fundamentally simple and useful, but it is difficult to estimate how many individual exciting forces should be used. Too many exciting forces can lead the method to break down. Here it is shown that by the use of Principal Force Vectors these deficiencies can be largely overcome. The approach is illustrated using actual measured data as well as by simulation.
