Based on the Hermes R and D workshop, results are presenled dealing with steady, hypersonic viscous flows over two-dimensional compression ramps as weil as with viscous and inviscid flows about a double ellipsoid. In particular, for the compression ramp, the influence of different transition locations on the flow behaviour and, hence, on the flap effectiveness, is discussed. Regarding the flow about a double ellipsoid, Navier-Stokes and Euler results including chemical equilibrium effects are presented.
