Zusammenfassung:
Improvements of modern combustion chambers need to develop reliable three-dimensional computer codes, using efficient physical models, to allow analysis, modeling and prediction of complex reactive flows and their interactions with the boundaries. A3C operation (Action Concertee Chambres de Combustion) has been started, its aims are to maintain the combustion laboratories at the best level, and to develop a three-dimensional code, called DIAMANT. This action associates research laboratories, companies and state agencies. The operation involves three parts: basic researchs in the field of turbulence, chemical kinetics, turbulent combustion, two-phase flows, boundary mechanisms and numerics, the development of the computer code and experimental validations. A first version of the code exists: it is time-dependent and is able to handle with complex geometries. It must allow to explore the problems of performances, thermal behaviour, consumption and pollution.
