Titel:

Pollutant Emissions from Aircraft Engines

Autor(en):
G. Bayle-Labouré
Zusammenfassung:
The main pollutant species emitted by aircraft engines are carbon monoxide and unburnt hydrocarbons, which are mainly emitted in idle conditions and nitrogen oxides and smoke, which are mainly produced at high power settings. This paper describes the main parameters which control pollutant emissions, reviews the technologies that can be considered to decrease emissions from future aircraft engines and presents SNECMA experience in low emission combustors.
