Zusammenfassung:
Historical approaches to the solution of elastic vehicle control problems are discussed briefly and the inadequacies of these approaches for modern space vehicle boosters are indicated. As means for improving control system design in the presence of structural bending and elastic feedback, several adaptive techniques are discussed. The discussion of each technique includes the general method of control synthesis and the merits and demerits of the approach.
