Zusammenfassung:
Fundamental considerations of the surface launch problems of large missiles include requirements concerning performance, dynamics and strength, the specific requirements to the launcher and to the thrust-rocket system and further the interaction of these systems. Various design approaches are feasible as .shown by typical new examples. The sometimes contradictory requirements were especiaily well combined in the Induced Pitch Launching System. Theory of motion and practical considerations of this recently tested system are discussed.
