Titel:

Instruments for Flight and Engine Control

Autor(en):

Zusammenfassung:
The confined space in aeroplanes makes it desirable to keep the dimensions of each instrument as small as possible. Clear reading and the accuracy of the instrument however must not be impaired. In addition, present day high speeds require the reading of the instruments to be made as simple as possible for the pilot. Combined instrument reading, as in speed and Mach number indicator, or the artificial horizon and compass with built-in directors may be mentioned as good examples. Finally as examples of newly developed instruments, for which there has been an urgent demand, the stall warning indicator and an instrument for mass indication of fuel flow per unit time and fuel reserve are given.
